COMPUTER-ASSISTED STA ANESTHESIA

CompuDentSTA, the system of local anesthesia

Supportive for dentist – painless for patient.

Dentist’s work is associated with patients’ feelings, fear, pain, anxiety; all of them can be resolved by means of CompuDentSTA, the system of local anesthesia, which reduces patient and doctor’s stress during the treatment.

Is there anyone willing to bet that the anesthesia is supposed to be painless and comfortable? Dental practitioners add some other requirements to this: operational safety and simplicity.

The Milestone Scientific Company has developed the innovative technology of anesthetic solution supply, which is advantageously used in medicine and dentistry, thereby, the above-mentioned requirements become realizable. CompuDentSTADriveUnit appliance is the computer-controlled innovative system, which consists of computer-assisted base module, ergonomic handpiece and foot switch, that’s why the advantage of this STA-system resolves itself to painless injections due to accurate control over speed, amount and the pressure of supplied solution. This is the only appliance to use the unique CompuFlou system, developed by Doctor Mark Hoffman in cooperation with the producer and licensed by the Milestone Scientific Company.

The given technology enables subcutaneous injection of anesthetic solution providing local anesthesia under full control over solution supply speed, during needle passage deep into tissue, which is referred to as DPS (Dynamic Pressure Sensing Technology), providing doctor with full injection control.

Our dental service, InStom, adapts this particular system of computer-assisted STA (Single Tooth Anesthesia), which means that the anesthetic amount and injection site are estimated by the computer on an individual basis, with provision for anatomical and physiological makers of a client.

Advantages of the given anesthesia:

  • Advanced comfort level;

  • Innovative and painless method;

  • Individual calculation of anesthetic quantity;

  • There is an absence of tongue, lip or cheek numbness, which substantially reduces discomfort;

  • On treatment completion, “freeze” symptoms resolve really fast;

  • Adequate site for anesthesia injections;

  • There is no headache after the given procedure;

Important information:

In the context of pediatric practice, the handpiece for STA computer-assisted anesthesia is less creepy compared to conventional dental syringe.

Moreover, this handpiece can be modified and placed in dentist’s hand for patients who are afraid of needles or syringes.

Anesthetic is injected below pain threshold to make the process of anesthesia painless! Summing up what has been said, there is no lip or tongue biting.

Mom and dad are glad as their child has fewer fears.
